Friday has come again. I'm in the middle of cleaning for next week. Not for visitors, but craft supplies tend to take over table space and if we want to use the dining room table I'd better find some spots for my clay projects I've been working on. What are you doing to get ready for the holiday next week in the US? If you live elsewhere, remember you can have pie even when it's not a holiday. 😄

Ah, here we are in October! Cooler weather, falling leaves, and pumpkins decorating porches. I do love October - and it's not only because it's my birthday month!

Are you looking for some not-so-spooky decor to go with your colorful fall pumpkins? With just a few supplies, you can make some easy broomsticks for your porch decorations.
I like the natural look for decorations, so these broomsticks were just right for our porch. They are super easy to make and it only took about 15 minutes of work to put together. Love those fast craft projects!

Now that it is September, does your mind switch to Fall instead of Summer? The temperature around here hasn't gone down to match the calendar, but I'm still excited to look forward to fall. I've started to get out some of my autumn themed craft/decor pieces and I thought I would share them with you in case you wanted to get crafty too!

August is finally here. There are still some warm summer days to sit on your porch or in the backyard in the evening, eating sweet watermelon, connecting with nature while camping or hiking, and reading all the books you can. This weekend our local farmers market opens and I can't wait to see what fresh fruits and veggies will be available.
This time of year we are usually school clothes shopping, making sure we can find lunch bags, updating our school emergency information. This year, preparing for school looks a bit different since we have chosen to do at home learning.
We will still do some of our favorite back-to-school traditions though. Celebrate with ice cream on the first day of school (maybe even in our pj's), we bought some fun new school supplies to use at home, and we will fill out our start of school year interview to keep track of likes and goals.

This weekend we are going to work in our garden. Weeding, adding nutrients to the soil, and visiting the local nursery for some plants. I am looking forward to a plentiful garden this year!
