Provo is best known for Brigham Young University, home of the Cougars. While it is a college town, there is so much more to it as well! You can visit beautiful scenery nearby, enjoy the fun downtown area in the evenings, shop to your hearts content, and take a trip around the world when you visit the many restaurants available.

I'm excited to share places to stay in Provo, local eateries you won't want to miss, and nearby activities. Take a look at what Provo Utah has to offer for a fun weekend away from your daily cares.

Weekend Getaway in Provo Utah

Sometimes it's nice to get away for a weekend; you can relax, take a visit to a new place (or one you enjoy visiting again and again), chat over meals that you don't have to prepare or clean up after, experience new things, and leave your day-to-day worries behind.

A few months ago my husband and I decided at the last minute that we wanted to get away for a day. We decided to visit Provo Utah for our day away. We live quite close to Provo, but don't generally take the time to wander around the city very often. We thought it would be nice to have a relaxing weekend and explore the city.

There is a little bit for everyone!

The house has an interesting history and the proprietor will gladly tell you fascinating tales over a delicious breakfast. Hear about it being a family home, a secret meeting place for Butch Cassidy, a craft boutique, and a restaurant. What a wonderful history it has!

This bed and breakfast has the charm of an old pioneer home with the convenience of updated and cozy rooms. Each room has a private bath, jetted tubs, comfortable beds, and many have sitting areas. There are fresh cookies in the kitchen also that you can enjoy for a little snack.
