"Love" Sign

A few weeks ago I bought the supplies to make this sign.  I finally finished it and love it! Here are the supplies I used. Missing from the picture: red glitter paint.

First I painted two coats of the light beige on the front and sides of the 6x6 piece of wood.  After that dried I added a layer of the red glitter paint.
For painting the heart, I lightly mixed the red and pink paint together. I ended up doing two layers of that also just to make sure it was covered.
I used my Cricut Explore machine to make the "LOVE" stencil. I'm not the greatest at stenciling while painting so most of the time I do the initial stencil, then touch it up by hand.
Next I used a sponge brush to Mod Podge the heart to the sign. Then I applied a layer of Mod Podge to the top of the whole project, being careful to make sure that the heart was firmly attached.  It dried, then I applied another layer of Mod Podge.  Then I sprayed it with a layer of Aleene's Spray Acrylic Sealer - Matte Finish.
To finish the project, I tied the ribbon.
